As we continue to pray for the people in Central Texas, United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries (UMCRM) is collecting an offering of letters, cards, drawings, and written prayers to send to Camp Mystic. We pray that these expressions of support will bring comfort to Camp Mystic’s staff and counselors in the coming weeks, once the initial crisis has eased and when the burden of grief might feel even heavier.

The Rio Texas Conference has set up a platform for people to give online directly to flood relief in the Texas Hill Country. The conference also has compiled resources for people needing immediate care and the United Methodist Committee on Relief also continues to use financial donations to respond to needs around the U.S.

Are you interested in taking action at the intersection of faith and justice? Register and join a group of peers learning from firsthand experience to advocate for immigration justice. In the San Diego-Tijuana Border Immersion 2025, you will be equipped to mobilize your church and community to advocate for the voice of immigrants and protect their rights. You will hear directly from immigrant leaders and organizations that are doing the work of justice, while analyzing the historical and political background of U.S. immigration policy. You will also reflect in community upon the faithful role and response of Christianity and the Church during these challenging times.

The BWC United Women in Faith has a new scholarship application process for 2025.
They support youth and young adults, who are members of United Methodist churches within the BWC, as they enter higher education to help them grow and succeed in their fields of choice by providing financial assistance for undergraduate students. Applications are due by Friday, Aug. 1.

Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church is looking for individuals and teams to lead bold, grassroots, antiracist environmental projects in their communities as part of their EarthKeepers program. Everything from building a recycling center to planting a community garden to installing rooftop solar counts. The next training is Oct. 2-5, 2025, in Des Moines, Washington. Young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to relive your childhood for a weekend and do all the fun things you used to do at camp at the Manidokan Young Adult Retreat on September 12-14. The Board of Ordained Ministry is hosting a BWC Candidacy Process webinar for those interested in becoming a mentor on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Anyone who feels called to ordained ministry -- candidates, certified candidates, provisional members, any full-member interested in becoming a mentor, current mentors, past mentors, pastors, SPRC members, DCOM members, and BOOM members are encouraged to register and participate in the training.
