2026 AP Testing Volunteer Proctors Needed!
AP tests are the week of May 4-15. Help the AP testing process go smoothly and volunteer for a shift. Your duties may include: basic proctoring- such as walking around a testing room; distributing test materials and supplies; reading test-taking instructions aloud; following AP Testing procedures; monitoring a Garfield hallway near testing rooms.
You can't proctor a test your student is taking. If your student has AP tests, it's simplest if you avoid those time slots. Link for AP Exam test dates
Note: Proctors cannot use devices or bring reading material into the sessions.
SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE.

The Bulldogs 4 Life Bash Fundraiser was a huge success!
We are thrilled to report that through the generosity of our community we raised over $115,000!!! With over 120 people in attendance, it was a joyful event...building connections through community while supporting and celebrating Garfield High School in all of its Purple & White greatness! We had loads of current families, a good turn out of GHS Alumni, and, the truth is, many people fell into both categories!
A huge thank you to the B4L Bash team: Alicia Spanswick, Bill Brewster, Karen Lewis, Katie Busby, Michelle Mansfield, Sarah Bruemmer, Stacey Kryman & Jennifer Marquardt. GHS staff and student guests who shared their individual experiences of Garfield brilliance - Queen B.-H. (Y Scholars), GHS Orchestra String Quartet: Jon M., Timo N., Tyree C., Brayden U., Eric W. (A/V support), Mr. Rees (emcee), and Mr. Manzin (librarian).
A big group of student volunteers who brought fun and friendly energy, crushing raffle ticket sales. The adult volunteers who helped ensure the event was festive, from start to finish. And, finally, GHS families, alumni, neighborhood and greater Seattle area businesses who donated items for the silent auction...we had SO MANY AMAZING items - from Torrent tickets, Hello Robin cookie party, stunning original art, gift cards to so many local food spots, fun and interesting experiences like the Burke Museum, the Great Wheel a tasting at Oola Distillery, certificates for health & body care plus SO MUCH MORE.
We couldn't have accomplished this without EVERYONE's generosity and support!

Garfield PTSA is proud to host the annual Bulldog All Night Grad Party on June 16, 2026. This legendary, safe, and sober "mystery" celebration is one final night for the entire class to celebrate together. After an 8:30 PM check-in at the GHS parking lot, seniors will board luxury charter buses to two secret venues, returning exhausted but happy after 5:00 AM the next morning.
Tickets are officially ON SALE NOW! We encourage families to register early to select a bus and help our volunteers plan.
In our effort to reach 100% participation, we offer community sliding-scale pricing ($40–$220) and scholarships. Please visit our registration site to purchase tickets, sign digital waivers, and coordinate bus seating with friends by the June 1 deadline.
Questions contact our co-chairs at gradnight@garfieldptsa.org.

We need you! Help the PTSA in 2026-27
We are actively seeking volunteers for many open positions next school year, and invite parents and caregivers who are interested in volunteering at Garfield to get in touch!
Volunteer positions range from event-specific roles that can be done remotely on a flexible schedule (e.g., Grad Night planning committee) to ongoing roles such as co-editing our PTSA newsletter or serving as the Secretary on our board (help keep us organized with agendas and meeting minutes)! Please email Gabrielle Ventenbergs if you are interested!
Many of the current PTSA leaders and volunteers are graduating. Start now to shadow and learn about your role. This way we can hit the ground running at the start of next school year.
