Get Involved in Seattle Youth Traffic Court

An alternative to traditional juvenile court, Youth Courts are established by judges to involve trained high school students in adjudicating minor offenses by peers. At Garfield High School, students participate in real court hearings as jurors, judges, and bailiffs, with a focus on restorative justice circles to resolve conflicts and promote accountability. Students work closely with Seattle University School of Law staff and students, Seattle Municipal Court judges and Seattle Police Department officers. This is a great opportunity for you to have direct impact on social justice in Seattle.

The first training is at Seattle University Law School on Monday, September 14th.
