Well the final count was 37. That's how many boxes of patches and neckerchiefs my winter break Eagle Scout helper Max managed to scan before he had to clock out. I was so happy to see the progress as that sets me up for weeks and months of listing.
Vintage eBay Scout Auctions This Weekend
I know that a lot of micro entrepreneurs don't really want to hire help. But I have always found that a lot of the steps in selling on eBay can easily be done by a non Scout person. It's the wording of the title and the pricing that is kinda the part that relies on some expertise. But sorting, scanning, and even shipping are roles that I have farmed out to employees in my operation.
I mentioned earlier this week that I've hired an audio and video editor named Samuel to help me bring back Scouting Hot Finds Radio. You will get a new episode of the podcast Monday as I drop the long delayed interview with Doug Schwab. If you are willing to help with even a $2 per month sign of appreciation for the Scouting Hot Finds I would appreciate you joining my group of supporters called the Scouting Hot Finds Insiders.
A new article I posted on my ScoutPatchCollectors.com website captures the idea of building a DIY shelf rack for Boxware and/or Ryker Mount cases. John Sorenson and Doug Walker both built out examples of this idea and shared their pictures with the SPC Facebook Group. I want to run with their ideas and build my own so I "archived" their helpful ideas on the site.
I have 136 live auctions on eBay with a bunch ending Sunday. Believe it or not later this morning I'll be posting almost 300 coffee mugs to my Patchblanket eBay store as I take a dip in that arena. On ScoutPatchHQ I have 24 live auctions from an old OA collection with some ending tonight.
Don't forget that at the end of the month the OA Legacy Collection of 100 of the best OA odd shapes concludes from Russell Smart. I spoke with him earlier and discovered he has had many offers come in for these killer pieces. It's an amazing collection to see and I'm sure some guys are anxious to fill in needs from this once in a generation offering.
