I am continually amazed by what I can sell in the Facebook Group. As I've been cleaning my office I've gathered a huge tub of Skill Awards. These were part of the advancement plan in Bill Hillcourt's 9th Edition of the Handbook. So I posted in the group that I would sell a complete set including the red First Aid on a web belt for $8 plus postage and sold a dozen in one day. I guess the price was right!
Vintage Scouting Memorabilia On eBay
I am in the middle of a 4-day push to get the word out locally about the Charlotte TOR. Last night I delivered a box of mugs with cards and fliers to the Troop 33 Court of Honor. Tonight I'm taking old Scout Handbooks with cards and fliers to the Troop 133 meeting. Wednesday I'll be passing out cards at a council dinner and Thursday it's more mugs headed for a large Round Table in South Charlotte. Brian Sweeney is helping me promote it at the other Round Table that night which will make it the 4th that has been reached this year.
Yesterday I also rented 7 more tables to collectors coming from VA and TN. With Occoneechee hosting the North Carolina Conclave this year that frees up about 10 tables from reliable renters (they have a work day). So I'm still looking to rent more tables to get to a sell out.
I got a call from a mom who was standing in my antique mall booth the other day. She was wondering if there was a Wolf rank patch somewhere in the container there that has over 1,000 dollar patches. I told her please text me her address and I would mail her one and save her the trouble. I did my good deed that day.
My eBay strategy for March involves auctioning off a collection of 800 CSPs by launching
24 every night. I think that by stretching this out I can keep driving eyes to my eBay store which has over 13k items priced and ready to sell.
There are a lot of TORs coming up over the next month. If you have not visited the
TOR calendar on my website check it out to see if you can make any of them..

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
