Yesterday I spent the entire work day working on my summer job. So much so that I forgot that it was Tuesday and my newsletter day! So here is the issue that you were due!
Vintage Scout Memorabilia Up First In The HF
I was so distracted because I'm up against a deadline to get the website finished and the leaders guide wrapped up for Camp Barstow. Tonight in Columbia, SC we have an appreciation night for the leaders and parents and will use that opportunity to promote the camp. I'm leaving work today around 2 PM to head that way.
This summer we are rolling out an entirely new program model that I am really excited about. It was a very organic idea that bubbled up from numerous conversations over the summer. My program director is also an educator and so we spent some long hours at camp towards the end of the summer coming up with a new way to organize the program that made sense.
If you buy some patches from me on eBay you might find a brochure slipped in with your order. The council spent a little money and we got a slick tri-fold made that has some good pictures and important information included.
The new website I mentioned is not finished but there is some info as a placeholder at

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
