eBay Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter
Sunday Morning
February 02, 2020

I got home early this morning (just before 1 AM) from the Indy TOR.  Luckily the roads were clear and there was very light traffic.  I enjoyed meeting so many people that have bought from me over the years.  I also met Bob Cyclowski who I had known of for years but never met until we were introduced this weekend.
This Weekend Is Loaded With Auctions
I had a nice chat with Roy More who shared one reason that the Indy TOR has been so successful over the years.  It's geography!  Being in a central spot in the old Region 7 there are multiple metropolitan  areas within a reasonable drive to this event.  With tables that start at $22 for early registration it's a good value with a lot of people bringing tons of Scout stuff.

I was also testing out an improved version of my table top system.  I noticed a few people snapping pictures with designs on their own versions of this.  It's only taken me 20 years to come up with a TOR layout that I really like.  Each container contains a sorted and themed collection like wooden N/C slides, belt buckles or even something as obscure as Peterloon camporee items.

Auctions Are The Hot Finds Secret Sauce
I did a live walk through video on Facebook during the auction.  You can see my profile on FB to check that out.  There were many familiar faces in the crowd and you can get an idea of the scale of this operation.  Next year the TOR will be on Feb 5-6 so mark your calendars!
Patchblanket Santeeswapper eBay Store
I have over 150 first run auctions ending tonight on OApatch.  My goal is to launch a similar number 3x a week so I can build it up to 10k this year.  Of course I want to sell them and not have them roll into the store so check out these OA flaps. This picture is of Matt Delk being literally the last person out of the building.  It's almost his tradition!

How lame am I?  While the rest of the world is watching the Super Bowl tonight I'm going to slip out to my warehouse to unpack from the TOR and get the next live sale ready.  That should happen Tuesday morning if all goes well.  This one will be an unboxing of a collection that came in while I was gone to the TOR.  The fella went to the 1969 Jamboree and was on staff in 1973.
