Unboxing Boy Scout collections  is one of my favorite videos to film and share with the readers of the Hot Finds.  The excitement of not knowing what is in the box is something we can all relate to.  For a Scout patch collector it's like Christmas morning.
This Weekend Is Loaded With Auctions
Saturday I filmed an unusual unboxing in that I had really no idea what was in the boxes.  I actually thought there might have been a lot of books because the priority mail boxes were very heavy.  To my great surprise instead they were loaded down with patches, neckerchiefs, slides, belts and some surprises.

What is also cool about this collection is that it is a father son deal. The dad attended the 1969 Jamboree and the son was very active in the 1990s.  Both of them are Eagle Scouts and so the patches and neckerchiefs really tell a story.

I did attend the Occoneechee TOR Friday night with my daughter.  It was very well attended and the room was really hopping even when I got there about 8 PM that night.  My daughter made out very well.  I gave her a giant box of activity patches from that area to sell and she came home with just over $100 in less than 2 hours.  I spent most of my time talking and catching up with the gang.

In North Carolina we now have 3 very solid TORs that are spread out about 3-4 months between each other.  The next one will be the Old Hickory TOR in Winston-Salem.  Then the last weekend of March I will help host the Charlotte TOR. This year there is also a TOR in Florence, SC the first Saturday of 2020.  I hope you are able to get out and support any shows near you this year!

Monday should be a national holiday celebrated by all parents although on different days.  The first day of school (for my son) has been on my calendar for sooo long.  After an incredibly long August keeping him entertained the whole family can get back into a routine. For my part it means uninterrupted days in the warehouse making progress on getting more stuff listed!
