Last night I hit the road to conduct the first camp promotion troop pitch of the 2020 camping season. Driving 3 hours+ round trip in one night is not the ordinary plan but we don't have our camping promotion team built out yet so I went for it. This particular troop is an in council troop where none of the Scouts have ever been to Barstow for summer camp. Maybe next year!?

In response to Sunday's Hot Finds topic I now have a podcast interview lined up for Thursday. Mike McKay is a business & finance professor from Boston. His email response took some of the points I made and looked at them from the viewpoint of economics. It was such a thought provoking topic that we are going to record an interview so he can explain his points and I can share that with the audience.
I've updated the TOR Calendar on my website to include information for 2 additional shows. The Norfolk show (now in it's 44th year) is moving over the Virginia Beach. I also got the flier from Scott Wheeler on the Detroit show up.
The World Jamboree stuff continues to have legs on eBay. For a NOAC that drop off happens pretty quickly as it's a smaller event. But a Jamboree with 40k+ people has a bigger appeal and plenty of memorabilia that is still making it's way into the collectors market. I know I still have a few things in a bag that I have not put up yet!
If you have an eBay store of any size don't forget about your free eBay shipping supplies. Q3 is going to end and if you don't claim your coupon then it's gone next month. I just remembered and will be getting mine ordered this AM. To find it go to Manage Stores > Subscriber Discounts.
I am trying out a new camera today for product photography. My old Canon died at camp which is the 2nd one I've had. The replacement is one I bought on eBay for $25 with free shipping. But so far it looks like a good camera that will serve me well!

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
