 "It was great....it was amazing". Those words were how my daughter described her first camping trip in the new Scouts BSA program with Troop 233 when we were on the way home. this despite the fact that the temps got down below freezing Saturday night (hey we are from North Carolina!). As I explained to her the best part is she gets to go camping every month with her friends and for that reason she is hooked.

Many of you would recognize the program for the weekend. Running the scouts through the basics of personal fitness, first aid and Scout skill to start attacking those early rank requirements. Our Scouts (23 in all this weekend) divided into 3 patrols and bonded through working in the axe yard, running a mile for Tenderfoot and learning what a duty roster is.
In patch world I've been going through boxes in my warehouse and have discovered some items that have been missing for years. Friday I sold 7 of the classic Boy Scout expandable patch collectors notebooks (the ones with the handles). I also sold a BSA signal set all through Facebook. It's a wonderful thing when you can pull a box off the shelf and find it a new home with a few clicks of the mouse.
