I have to confess that I am going to miss my daughter's troop meeting Thursday night. But I promise it's for a very good reason. As a card carrying member of Generation X and a child of the 80s I must tell you that I will be watching Star Wars on opening night as has been our tradition. My the force be with you!

Today is Day 2 of my daughter working on patches to get some extra spending money for her budget. She did a really good job yesterday with no complaints so I'm looking forward to seeing more boxes of patches getting scanned. She did 3 1/2 boxes yesterday which was very productive!
Yes! I actually saw some BHP orders come in last year that were earmarked as holiday gifts. As you know it's awfully hard to pick out something that the person actually wants and will use. I've been listening to the author of a book called "Scroogenomics" who argues that most gifts are wasted because the value of what is given does not equal the perceived value by the recipient. So if you are hard to shop for maybe suggest some Best Hobby Pages as an easy gift that will definitely get used! You can leave a note in the checkout with any special instructions.
In case you missed the video sale that ended Sunday night you can always show the items at
www.ScoutPatchLive.com. I don't look to do another live video before Christmas but I'm working in the background on some stuff to get it ready.
My printer has shipped 1,000 fliers for the Charlotte TOR to my house so I can start mailing them out to the four corners. For months now I've included a business card with the details as a save the date type piece. eBay winners as far away as California and Alaska have probably wondered why I would mail them that card. But I want everyone to know the date and now I'll start sending out a flier with every eBay purchase to give them all the details.
Over the holidays I hope to get some version of New Year's planning done. Between summer camp, the patch business and family I've got a lot to juggle and with some down time over the coming weeks hopefully I can map out what 2020 will look like.

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
