This morning Episode #13 of Thread Heads goes live. This is the now bi-weekly (fingers crossed) show that Brad England and I film to talk about the hobby. Everybody has an opinion in Scouting and this is our chance to spill ours about patch collecting.

In this episode our main focus is talking about the secret sauce of Trade-O-Rees. Both of us are just coming off of having been at shows and this is always a topic of conversation. How do you get more people to attend them? We both offer up some suggestions.
Another topic we hit is a first for the show. I do a quick book review of two new reference books that I've added to my collection. The first is Larry Lane's book on early North Carolina camps. The second is the new 12 Region book by Bushore and Koppen that recently came in the mail.
The final segment of the show includes some shipping tricks now that the cost of USPS mail is going up. Instead of a mail bag we both offer up unusual things that we got for our collections at the recent TORs. It's a bit longer than we planned but a good all around episode and one you can play in the background while you are otherwise making good use of your time.
Brad and I are going to be together at the Indy TOR (he has to find a dog sitter first). We are hoping to film some Thread Heads shows from there and would love to include any collectors that have an idea for a topic. If you are not camera shy let's get together at the TOR!

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
