This weekend the parking lot was full at Camp Barstow which was great to see. This was the largest event at the camp since COVID struck and a great warm up to having campers in a few months.
The event was the council's annual Merit Badge University. My Program Director and I had the opportunity to speak to Scout leaders and interview someone for one of our open positions. Staff week starts June 13.
While I was at camp someone who knew I was a thread head decided to give me a small bag of patches totally for free. These were ones that had passed to him and since he was not a collector he wanted me to have them. I don't know that I've ever had someone do that so it put a big smile on my face!
I have 204 live auctions on eBay including 50 really nice OA pieces. I'm trying to keep my auction strategy of launching auctions every night going right up through the summer. I don't think it will be the volume I am doing now but I think listing every day has been a good strategy.
The Camp Book II V3 has only been out for a few days but several collectors have bought a copy of it. You can get it as a digital download or printed copy. At 1612 pages its full of great information.
