Rockford Reformed Church
Loving Others Toward Christ

Jesus has called us to bring people to saving faith in him. We bring people to Jesus by loving people to Jesus. People don't care how much we know until they know how much we care. If we are to be a church that brings people to Christ, we must have amazing hospitality. We also need to be there for those who don't know Jesus, caring for them in love right where they live. And, yes, we also need to know how to share the good news of Jesus in a loving and compelling way. Join us as we dive into this important series: Loving Others Toward Christ.

Tony Talks

Come and listen to Pastor Tony talk about what he's seeing in the RCA and in the church worldwide as he travels and interacts with other leaders.

Thy Kingdom Come: Practical Applications of the Resurrection
March 5 - May 7 - Led by Bren Shantz, Fireside Room
This study is based on the book Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church by NT Wright. Bren will present 6 video sessions to talk about specific topics from the book, with lots of group discussion before and after. He will be using the Easter season - which focuses so exclusively on the act of Jesus' resurrection - to move beyond the abstract theology of life after death to speak openly about how the hope of resurrection might practically and profoundly impact our daily lives right now.

Friday, March 3, 6:15-9:00pm in the gym. Does your brain hold a lot of useless information? Then invite your friends, neighbors, or family members to join us for a fun night of trivia, led by MI Team Trivia. Enter as a team of 5-8 and work together to answer the questions. No team? No problem! We will place you with an existing team or form a team with others who come solo. Click here for more information or to register.

Sunday, March 12, 10am in the gym. Does Consistory will be holding a congregational update meeting on Sunday, March 12 between services. Adult Sunday School will not meet, so that all may attend the meeting. Children's and Youth Sunday School still meet.

Saturday, March 18, 9 am-3 pm in the gym. The annual church garage sale to support Rockford Reformed Church Youth Ministries is coming up! Money raised at the garage sale will go towards supporting the youth summer mission trips. To make this year another great success we need your stuff! So clean out those closets and bring your "junk" to church! Items can be dropped off March 13-17. Signs in the gym will show you where to place your items. Donation receipt forms will be available. Please note that we cannot take any large appliances or TV's. Cash and checks will be accepted at the sale. If you have any questions, please contact Deb Coon (204-3860).
Easter Baskets

We will once again be putting together Easter Baskets for North Kent Community Services. Watch for more info.
Gardening Help

We need some help in keeping our beautiful gardens looking that way. We are hoping to map out the gardens into 4 sections and are asking for people to take responsibility for one (or more) of the sections. This includes planting, pruning, and weeding throughout the season. If you have an interest in taking a section (or even help once in a while) please contact Roger Hoogewind at 401-8631 or rogerdhoog@hotmail.com.

Do you know a Snow Plow Service? Next winter we will be looking into a new Snow Plow Service, but want to do some contacts now. Give your info to Roger Hoogewind at 401-8631 or rogerdhoog@hotmail.com. Thanks!
