This summer we will be preaching through the Sermon on the Mount, which contains teachings by Jesus so revolutionary and penetrating that they have challenged and transformed mankind's perspective on right living and right relationship with God from the day they were proclaimed until now. The first of our three series on this great sermon will be entitled "True Righteousness." We will look at the kind of life followers of Christ are called to live toward God and toward others. Christ's standard is so soaring that it seems unattainable, but he meant what he said. He calls us towards his vision for humanity, and through his power and grace he supplies all we need.

Saturday, July 22, 8am. Take a bite out of the global orphan crisis and enjoy some homemade cookies at the same time! Walk or run the beautiful apple orchards of Robinette's and then enjoy hundreds - maybe thousands - of homemade cookies and chocolate milk at the finish line. Every dollar is donated toward Team Orphans child adoption grants through Bethany Christian Services. Cookie bakers and race day volunteers needed. Learn more on our website.

North Kent Connect (formerly North Kent Community Services) connects people to the resources they need - anything from food to job training to fellowship - to help residents in northern Kent County meet basic needs and work towards economic independence. In order to help even more people in the community, it is opening North Kent Connect Store on Friday, August 4. Anyone can shop there for high-quality, gently-used clothing and household goods at affordable prices. Every purchase will help local families better their lives through North Kent's empowerment programs.

Donations are needed! North Kent Connect is looking for donations of clothing, household items, furniture, and sporting goods. Donations are accepted Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information visit nkconnect.org.
