Volunteers Needed

The Worship Team is looking for volunteers to help run PowerPoint slides during the service. If you are interested, please contact Mike Fisk.

We are in the process of setting up the next Discovery Class. If you are thinking about membership with Rockford Reformed Church, or if you just want to learn more about us, this class is for you! Attending class in no way obligates you to join. We will explain the basic beliefs and background of the Reformed Church in America and answer any questions regarding our worship, ministry, or doctrine. Childcare available if needed. Registration required. Please contact the office ( connect@rockfordrc.org, 616-866-2308) if you would like to participate. Dates/times will be posted soon!

May 13 - June 17. RRC is once again partnering with Alpha Family Center of Cedar Springs to raise money for their organization. Alpha Family Center is a Christ-centered ministry that serves women and families who face an unwanted, unplanned, or at-risk pregnancy. By educating women who face a crisis pregnancy, women and their families are able to make informed decisions. To participate in the Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser, please pray for the center, take home an empty baby bottle, and fill it with your spare change, dollar bills, or checks (made out to Alpha Family Center). Bottles will be available at RRC on Mother's Day, May 13. Please return them by Father's Day, June 17. We will return them to Alpha Family Center for you. This is a great opportunity to teach our children about sharing God's love while making a difference in the community!

Sunday, May 20.  This offering provides opportunities to support local church planting efforts. To participate, please use your "special offering" envelope from your packet (or a pew envelope), mark it "Pentecost Offering," and place it in the offering plate. Make checks payable to Rockford Reformed Church, and be sure your name and/or offering envelope number is on the envelope. You may also give online - just choose the One Sunday option. Learn more on our website.

Sunday, May 20.  Congregation: Join us as we celebrate our high school and college graduates!  Parents of High School and College Graduates: we need information for our booklets! Please see our website for guidelines. Information must be emailed to Laura Jolliffe by Sunday, May 13.

Orders due May 30.  Within our Memorial Prayer Garden is a heart-shaped patio containing bricks inscribed with the names of loved ones that are no longer with us. You may contribute to the garden by buying an inscribed brick for $40 that can be personalized with the name of your loved one. Order forms are available at church (or download here) and should be turned in to the front office. Bricks are ordered once a year.

Sundays, June 3-August 26, 6pm in downtown Rockford.  The community is invited to come out and enjoy an evening of Christian music every Sunday evening. Christian praise music will be provided by music teams from area churches and Christian bands. Join your neighbors & friends every Sunday evening at the Rockford Garden Park stage next to the dam for an evening of fellowship and praise, and maybe a family picnic! Learn more about Praise in the Park on their website. RRC will be playing on July 8. See our website for the 2018 schedule.

Tuesday, June 5, 7:30am-8:00pm.  We are planning a Ladies' Day Out with a trip to Shipshewana, Indiana. We will meet at church at 7:30am to carpool (or possibly take the church van). Bring a sack lunch, or lunch can be purchased at the flea market. We will have dinner out on the way home. Cost is $10 per person to help cover gas and parking. Please contact Deb Coon with any questions (616-204-3860). Click here to sign up!

Beginning June 10, Pastor Tim will meet with one care group at a time after the worship service to share a bit of what we are up to during the transition and for you to ask questions. If you are away on the day assigned to your care group, you are welcome to join us on another day. Check back soon for the exact schedule. Meet in the Fireside Room (253).

Saturday, June 16, at Morley Park in Cedar Springs.  Come out and support the Alpha Family Center of Cedar Springs by participating in the 23rd annual LifeWalk / 5K LifeRun through the heart of Cedar Springs. Great for the whole family! Additional activities include Kid's FunRun, LifeCrawl, and LifeRide. Participants are encouraged to collect a minimum of $50 in pledges in lieu of the registration fee. Visit Alpha's Event Page for all the details, or call 616-696-2616.

Mondays - Thursdays, summer 2018.  Our friends at Hillview invite you to help out with their summer program for students. Hillview Learning Center meets M-Th from 10-11am.
