Youth Activities from Heather
Compassion helps us see and welcome.
Compassion helps us be present with each other. When we follow God’s Spirit and are open to the people we encounter along the way, they can experience God’s Spirit through our care. When we are being present with each other we let go of our own expectations, be flexible, and trust the Spirit, as we seek to lead compassionate lives.

Live in love and smile!
Heather
What is the “Card Project”?
From now until the end of November we will be collecting your pieces of art to create beautiful cards. During the month of December the cards may be purchased through a good will offering. Any money collected will support a local charity (to be determined by children and youth).
Artwork size: 4 ½”x 6½” or 11.5cm x 17cm
Paper: create artwork on white paper
Medium: anything you like to work with (crayons, paint, markers, pencils)
How many can you make: 1-5
Please do not add words (except you signature: your name)

Copies of the artwork will be made to create the cards and the originals will be made into a mural for the Church.
Dinner time Conversation:
Did you get a chance to help anyone today?

Empathy
A message for youth and adults. What is the best way to ease someone's pain and suffering? In this beautifully animated RSA Short, Dr Brené Brown reminds us that we can only create a genuine empathic connection if we are brave enough to really get in touch with our own fragilities.
Compassion Camp Sunday
“Compassion Camp Family Services” are online each Sunday at 10:30am. The worship is designed for the whole family. During these gatherings we learn what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world. We sing, pray, share and listen to God’s word. There are activities to do as a family and ones to share to our wider community. Packages can be dropped off at your home or can be picked up at the Church. These packages will help you get the full experience of “Compassion Camp”. Children, youth and adult volunteers are needed to help with scripture, prayers and skits.
Please contact Heather ([email protected]) to receive the camp packages.
Activities & Craft Time
Compassion exercise: It's super easy to be nice to the people you like, but it can be difficult to be nice to people who bother or annoy you. Practice tolerance and compassion for others with this positive, calming video.
