Youth Activities from Heather
Compassion helps us see and welcome.
"Compassion helps us love ourselves. It means showing gentleness and kindness to ourselves in heart, soul, mind, and strength. When we pay attention to and honour our own selves, we experience how God sees and loves us."(2020 Illustrated Ministry)

Live in love and smile!

Bible Story:
What does the words “Commandment mean”? Commandments are God’s rules for life. In our Bible story, Jesus tells the people what the most important commandments of all are!
Join Molly and friends for week 3 at Compassion Camp as we learn how compassion helps us love ourselves.
The Greatest Commandment
Prayer
Gentle One,
Thank you for your Spirit within us
who guides, encourages, and strengthens us.
Help us see ourselves through your eyes-
with love, kindness, and deep joy.
May we love our bodies, treasure our hearts,
And celebrate our spirits. Amen

Compassion Camp Sunday
“Compassion Camp Sunday” online services have started. We anticipate that this series will run for 5 more weeks, ending just into the start of advent. The worship is designed for the whole family. During these gatherings we will learn what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world. We will sing, pray, share and listen to God’s word. There will be activities to do as a family and ones to share to our wider community. Packages will be dropped off at your homes or can be picked up at the Church. These packages will help you get the full experience of “Compassion Camp”. Volunteers are needed to help with scripture, prayers and skits.
Please contact Heather (heathermargerisontrillium@gmail.com) to receive the weekly meeting links and camp packages.
Craft Time
Caring for ourselves involves listening to our hearts, paying attention to our needs, and loving our unique selves. This is how we have compassion for ourselves. One “real” way to do this is by practicing what makes us joyful!

Make something for yourself that will bring a smile to your face, warm your heart, and make you feel loved.
Some ideas:
• Bake or cook something (check with a parent first)
 • Spend time drawing or painting something for your space at home
• Write yourself a letter
• Play some music and/or play an instrument
What else brings you joy? The amazing thing is that these are also wonderful things to share with others! Loving yourself well can lead to loving and caring for others in easy ways.
