Constable Licensing Board Nominations

The Utah Division of Professional Licensing is seeking nominations for appointments to the newly established Constables Licensing Board. The Utah State Bar invites interested licensees of the legal community, particularly those with experience utilizing constable services, to submit their names for consideration. Board members will be expected to devote the necessary time and attention to their responsibilities, prioritize the public interest, and maintain professional independence. Current officers of professional associations are discouraged from applying due to potential conflicts of interest.

The Bar will recommend three candidates for consideration by the Division, with final appointments determined by the Commissioner. Interested individuals should email a resume and letter of interest to Christy Abad at christy.abad@utahbar.org. Submissions should be received in advance of the Division's November 20, 2026, nomination deadline.
