ALERT: Phishing Email Scam

On Monday, June 23, 2025, attorneys and law firms in Utah were targeted in a phishing scam email that falsely claimed to be from the Bar's Communications Director, Jennifer Weaver. The fraudulent message was sent from an email address using Jennifer’s name and the domain @utahbar.org.virumail.com. Delete the email immediately! Get the details, tips, and resources here.

ABA Recognizes Former Utah Judge

Retired District Judge David Connors to Receive Civility Award


The ABA will present the Honorable William D. Missouri Civility Award to retired Utah district judge David Connors.

Connors has handled numerous mediations, arbitrations, and trials over a career spanning more than 30 years, including service as a Utah State Bar arbitrator. Appointed to the district court in 2008, he later served on Utah’s judicial council and as presiding judge of the Second District Court.

The Utah Judicial Council has approved amendments to the following rule. The amendments are effective July 1, 2025. The Utah Judicial Council invites comments to this rule. The comment period will expire on July 4, 2025
