Share Your Story: The Value of the Bar

Each of you has a unique story about how the Bar has supported your professional growth, your well-being, and the integrity of our profession. Now is the time to share those stories.

We invite you to share a testimonial about what the Bar has meant to you, whether it’s a service that helped you in a difficult time, an opportunity that enriched your practice, the value of serving on a committee or volunteering, or simply the reassurance of belonging to a profession that values integrity and public trust. Your voice matters; not only to counter one-sided criticism, but to affirm the real value of our shared professional community.

Please take a few minutes to reflect and send us your story. Your experiences will help ensure that decision-makers, and the public, understand the true impact of the Bar.

What's New at the Bar?

Bar Commission President-Elect Tyler Young kicked off his statewide listening tour in July, beginning with a meeting designed to engage rural Utah attorneys and encourage greater participation in Bar activities. Contact him for information or questions

Bar Commission President-Elect Launches Statewide Tour to Engage Attorneys

Tyler's first meeting in Vernal drew an estimated 20 attendees, including two judges, fostering a collaborative environment for open discussion. Topics covered included the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission (JPEC), the challenges it currently faces, and potential ideas for improvement.

One of the judges offered practical guidance on courtroom dos and don’ts, while Young shared updates on recent and upcoming Bar initiatives. The tour is part of Young’s broader effort to connect with attorneys across the state, ensuring that voices from rural communities are heard in shaping Utah's future of the legal profession.
