PROGRAM

Special Olympics

with Anthony Haukes

Anthony Hauckes has been a dedicated Special Olympics Oregon coach and board member here in Josephine County for more than 15 years, helping athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities discover confidence, build friendships, and achieve their personal best through sports.

Throughout his years of service, he has coached multiple sports, mentored hundreds of athletes, and worked alongside families, volunteers, and community partners to expand opportunities for inclusion and success.

Professionally, Anthony serves as the Employment Development Director for Southern Oregon Aspire, where he leads initiatives that connect adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to meaningful employment and community engagement. His passion for creating opportunities extends beyond the workplace and into every aspect of his community involvement.

Anthony is also an active community leader, serving with organizations including Grants Pass Rotary and Caveman Kiwanis. Whether organizing fundraisers, supporting local nonprofits, or coaching on the playing field, he believes that strong communities are built when everyone is given the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
