eCOGS

November 20, 2024

Hi Hyla,

Oops - I finished eCOGS days ago, but we've been really busy at the museum doing intake for our annual membership exhibit (which opens on Friday) and I forgot to send this. Sorry!

Next week we won't be meeting because of Thanksgiving. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with friends, family, and for sure - chocolate. Maybe a chocolate turkey? So, here's the question - do you eat the turkey's head first?

Have a nice week.

Hyla

DG Nelson Maler's video

Because the rain on the roof was so loud, many in the room couldn't really hear the video. Also, some of you weren't at the meeting. So, here is the video that Nelson prepared for District 5110. It's good and tells about his vision for his time as District Governor....and more.

Guardian Partners is a nonprofit providing education and adult guardianship monitoring. They support individuals in making informed decisions and ensure the welfare of protected persons across multiple Oregon counties through volunteer partnerships and court collaborations. You can find out more by clicking their logo.

Today, Jeni Bennett and Hannah Maerowitz will tell us about what they do.

Jeni Bennett

Jeni comes to Guardian Partners from the world of nonprofits and volunteer management. Working with volunteers has always been her passion as well as advocacy towards the most vulnerable populations. From working with adolescents in dual diagnostic treatment facilities, foster children involved within the dependency courts, to creating youth empowerment and yoga education, she is excited to expand her roots within Guardian Partners. An avid traveler, you will catch her when she is not gallivanting across the globe.

Hannah Maerowitz

Hannah has a background in marketing and communications that she has transferred to recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers at Guardian Partners. Due to personal experiences in her own family, advocating for vulnerable populations and connecting families with resources is important to her. Hannah earned a BS in Psychological & Brain Sciences and a BA in Film & Media Studies from UC Santa Barbara and enjoys volunteering, reading, and running in her spare time.
