Greetings!

I do believe we are entering the fall season. A few leaves here and there are changing color. The nights are getting much cooler. A bit of rain now and then to make the air clear and crisp. Oh, and the clouds...bring in the clouds...they are glorious.

Enjoy!

PROGRAM

Main Street Grants Pass

with

Michael O'Coyne & Logan Roberts

Michael O'Coyne is a licensed Oregon real estate broker with RE/MAX Integrity. He was voted Best Realtor in Southern Oregon Magazine's 2024 Reader's Choice awards.

Beyond his practice, Michael is Vice President and Co-Chair of Main Street Grants Pass and President of the Grants Pass Main Street Foundation — the organizations working to keep downtown economically healthy, walkable, and worth showing up for. Main Street most recently kicked off 2026 with Cruise the Rogue, which drew tens of thousands of people to the heart of downtown, and is looking to expand on that momentum.

He came to community work by way of a thirty-year career that started around his family's Mercedes-Benz dealership on Guam and ran through automotive service management, national automotive media — where he produced Motor Trend Radio — and corporate marketing and communications.

Michael is now running for Grants Pass City Council, Ward 1, carrying the same approach he brings to everything: show up, tell the truth, and do the unglamorous work that makes a community thrive.

Executive Director Logan Roberts is an entrepreneur and project management professional serving as Executive Director of Main Street Grants Pass. He and his family relocated to Grants Pass and opened Chilly Goose in the heart of downtown. Logan brings over 15 years of experience in operations, team leadership, and business development — including founding Millennial Brewing Company in Southwest Florida, which raised nearly $2 million for local nonprofits. His public service background includes advisory roles with the City of Fort Myers and the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. In Grants Pass, he is active with the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Rotary, and the broader downtown business community. He brings a results-driven approach grounded in strategic planning, community engagement, and operational accountability.

Rotary Areas of Focus

The needs spanning Rotary's seven areas of focus are vast, ranging from lack of access to clean water to the need for immunization that prevent deadly diseases. Rotary clubs serve communities around the world, each with unique concerns and needs. Rotarians have continually adapted and improved the way they respond to those needs, taking on a broad range of service projects. The most successful and sustainable Rotary service tends to fall within one of the following seven areas:

·    Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.

·    Disease prevention and treatment

·    Water and sanitation

·    Maternal and child health

·    Basic education and literacy

·    Economic and community development

·    Environment

Most of us are familiar with the reference to the "Twelve Days of Christmas" but did you know about the Twelve Months of Rotary? Rotary has identified a theme for each month. The monthly themes are meant to highlight the wide range of Rotary's good work and give clubs some suggestions, timing and guidance for their programs and activities. Here is the list.

·    January - Vocational Services Month

·    February - Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Month

·    March - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Month

·    April - Maternal and Child Health Month

·    May - Youth Services Month

·    June - Rotary Fellowship Month

·    July - New Leadership (can change annually with the beginning of the new Rotary year)

·    August - Membership and New Club Development Month

·    September - Basic Education and Literacy Month

·    October - Community Economic Development Month

·    November - Rotary Foundation Month

·    December - Disease Prevention and Treatment Month
