Holy Eucharist in the Memorial Garden
Continuing this Wednesday, October 14 at 5:30 p.m., we will be offering Holy Eucharist. No need to register. Just come to St. James’s Memorial Garden. A priest will be there to give you Communion.
Family Service Project – Gleaning
As part of our Families for Food outreach efforts, you, your children of all ages and adults are invited to harvest crops Saturday morning, November 7 from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the Northern Neck of VA (exact located TBD). We are partnering again with Harvest of Hope to glean the fields. If you are interested in participating, sign up online using this Gleaning Registration Form. Gleaning is the act of collecting leftover crops from farmers' fields after they have been commercially harvested or on fields where it is not economically profitable to harvest.
Doers-in-Action
Haiti Broadway Babies
Tune in October 17, 7:00 p.m.

Since 2011, St. James’s has supported the St. Joseph Family (SJF) in Haiti through our missions program. Due to COVID-19 & political unrest, our team is unable to continue our vital work in person. What do “doers” do in challenging times? We go virtual! Help us provide a loving home, nutritious meals, medical care, education, and employment to the most disadvantaged in Haiti - former street children, child slaves and those suffering from disability and abject poverty.
Tune in and donate!

Children’s Chapel and More
We have a variety of events to work with your varying schedules. The Children’s Chapel and Godly Play videos will be posted and available every Sunday. Growing in Faith lessons will be posted once a month. These are available on our website.
The Taste of St. James’s Wants Your Help
Calling bakers, makers, and ‘runners’!

Though we cannot come together for our usual fete, the amazing baked goods and soups we all love will be available for pre-order soon. We invite you to join in the fun by making or baking items for sale, or by packing and distributing orders from the Michaux House the weekend of November 20 & 21. COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed. Save the date! Pre-orders will be available for pick up from the Michaux House on Sunday afternoon, November 22 - just in time for Thanksgiving.

History Volunteers Needed
Are you interested in the racial history of St. James’s and wondering how you can help? Our Racial Justice and Reconciliation Formation Team is looking for volunteers to research that history from its beginning in 1835 to the present. High schoolers and adult parishioners welcome. Contact Alice Tousignant
Our Stewardship Matters
Its Stewardship season, & this is our time to listen to God’s call to us to sustain the mission and ministries of our church. In the coming months we will share some powerful stories about the Holy Spirit moving among us. Pandemic or not, we continue to be Doers because We are the Church.

Our custom of worship and service bond us together as a sacred community. Some of us, like Judy Philpott, respond particularly to Servant Ministry. Judy is an open-hearted Doer. St. James’s has been a big part of her life, and our community - even during COVID - has been her anchor.

Watch Judy Philpott share her full story.

We make offerings in thanks for God’s generosity to us. You are invited to participate and support our transformative ministries. We are into the season of Annual Giving for the year 2021, we want to be prepared to fulfill our call to serve. Thank you for pledging online by filling out the 2021 Pledge Commitment.
