eGolf Gateway Tour Announces Guaranteed $200,000 Purse Events for 2015; Guaranteed Purse Structure for 2015 West Coast Tournaments

 

Phoenix, AZ - The eGolf Gateway Tour announced today the addition of four 2015 tournaments that will feature guaranteed purses of $200,000 contested on both the west and east coasts. In addition, the tour announced a guaranteed purse structure for all west coast events starting with the Winter Series, which will kick off on January 13-15, 2015 at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.

 

On October 10th, Charlotte, NC-based eGolf announced a joint venture with Phoenix, AZ-based All-American Gateway Tour to create the eGolf Gateway Tour, in turn putting forth the largest nationwide developmental golf tour, with approximately 35 tournaments on both the east and west coasts - all under the convenience of a singular membership.

 

The four guaranteed purse $200,000 events will be contested in the 2015 season, with dates and locations to be announced in the coming weeks. The four events, which continue the eGolf Gateway Tour's trend of guaranteeing the largest purses in developmental tour golf, will be contested on both the east and west coasts. The tournaments will be open solely to eGolf Gateway Tour members, with non-members allowed entry on a space-available basis.

 

The 2014-15 eGolf Gateway Tour universal membership fee is currently $1,750, but will increase to $2,000 on December 15, 2014.

 

The fee covers tournaments across the country, with tour members earning priority entry into events on the east and west coasts, as well as reduced entry fees into all regular season and championship events.

 

In addition to the $200,000 events, the tour announced today a guaranteed purse structure for all west coast events, effective January 1, 2015. All 2015 west coast series events will feature guaranteed minimum purses of $75,000, with the exception of the January 27-29, 2015 event at the Trilogy at Power Ranch, which will feature a guaranteed minimum purse of $100,000. The Power Ranch tournament will be contested during the week of the PGA TOUR's Waste Management Phoenix Open in Gilbert, AZ - just 45 minutes away from the tournament's Monday qualifier.

 

The guaranteed purses are all minimum guarantees, and set to increase based on participation. Information about the increase structure will be released in the coming weeks.
