MOBILE FOOD MARKET
First & Third Wednesdays of the Month
For the past five years, Northpark has partnered with The Oaks Community and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to host a bi-weekly Mobile Market and provide FREE food for anyone in our community that needs it. Local grocers and farms donate produce, meat, bread, desserts, dry goods, and more, and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle delivers these donations to The Oaks neighborhood (near Sanderson High School) every other week.
A team of volunteers (that's us!) helps unload the donation boxes, organize the foods, and then pre-packs large boxes with various foods for those who stop by. The truck typically arrives around 12:00/12:15PM on it's scheduled weeks and the unpacking/sorting is typically done between 1:30-2:00PM. Distribution happens after that until 3:00 or 4:00PM.
