Green Power Lunch Moved to March 5

Because of date conflicts for some of our attendees, we have changed the date of the Green Power Lunch.

Join us for the third annual Green Industries Power Lunch on Thursday, March 5, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Del Frisco's Grille in Cherry Creek.

This event aims to raise $30,000+ to support industry lobbying efforts.

A $1,000 donation secures your seat at the table to discuss legislative issues impacting our industry, including turf limitations and backflow prevention requirements.

Can’t attend? Your donation still makes a difference! Help us protect and advance the green industry’s legislative standing.

Please RSVP for the luncheon to Glenda Mostek, 303-758-6672. Please send donations to GreenCO, c/o John McMahon, 1355 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite C-608, Denver CO 80222.

Nick's Garden Center Adopts Gus the Gnome

Since 2008, I have been traveling from nursery to nursery after Gary Epstein of Fort Collins Wholesale Nursery gave me a special mission to help raise funds for

The Colorado Horticulture Research and Education Foundation. Each year, I am adopted to a new home, supporting scholarships and research while connecting with the horticulture community.

This year, I am proud to call Nick’s Garden Center and Farm Market my home. Family owned and operated in Aurora for more than 30 years, Nick’s has grown into a trusted destination for gardeners, known for its excellent plant selection and strong support of the local horticulture community

Nick’s generous winning bid to adopt me reflects their commitment to horticulture, education and research. I look forward to a wonderful year at Nick’s while helping to grow the future of our industry.

I also want to express my sincere thanks to Hollandia Nursery in California’s Central Valley for being such wonderful hosts this past year. Their beautiful plants were truly remarkable, and the warm weather made for an exceptional holiday away from Colorado. At their stunning nursery, they provided me with a fantastic home while continuing my mission. I left the good folks at Hollandia with a full heart, a bit of sun on my cap, and just a trace of potting soil in my pockets.

Happy Gardening,

GUS
