A New CNGA Website is Coming October 22

We’re counting down the days to the launch of our new website later this month, with a fresh look, easier navigation and improved tools for members.

We’re also moving from MemberClicks to NOVI, an upgraded membership management system that will make it easier to manage your membership, register for events and keep your information up to date. You’ll find us right where you always have at coloradonga.org.

Your existing member profile will transfer to the new system for a smooth transition. Once we launch, you’ll be able to easily update your company information, manage staff contacts and upload your company logo for our new, user-friendly member directory. Annual membership renewals will take place on the new site this fall and Winter.

We hope these improvements make it easier to access member resources, sign up for events and get the most out of your CNGA membership. Please reach out with questions.

Anna Ball Inspires at CNGA's 31st Annual Women in Horticulture Luncheon

CNGA’s 31st annual Women in Horticulture Luncheon brought together more than 200 guests last week at Denver Botanic Gardens for an afternoon of connection, conversation and inspiration.

Anna Ball, CEO of Ball Horticultural Company, shared lessons from her family business, her path to leadership and the many ways plants make a difference in our lives and communities. Her talk struck a chord with attendees, with one survey respondent calling her the “best speaker in the last 4 years” and another describing her as “engaging, interesting and bombastic.”

Thank you to Anna, our sponsors and donors, Denver Botanic Gardens, and everyone who joined us. Now, on to planning next year’s luncheon!

CSU President's Ag Advisory Committee

CNGA Executive Director Glenda Mostek joined other ag leaders from across the state for a meeting of the CSU President’s Ag Advisory Council.

Participants heard from College of Ag leadership and President Amy Parsons. The Dean of the College of Liberal Arts reported about connections to rural Colorado in their college – emphasizing that “Ag needs everyone.” The various department heads from the College of Ag Sciences reported in, including new HLA department head Francesca Hand.

President Parsons reported the largest number of in-state students coming to CSU in history, and that the move to the PAC 12 has given CSU and Fort Collins invaluable national media exposure which often focuses on the beauty of the surroundings of Fort Collins (including the CSU Trial Gardens!).

Dyed "On-Farm" Diesel Now Allowed on Colorado Roads

Following an Oct. 5 executive order from President Donald Trump, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis issued an executive order waiving the enforcement of fines for drivers on Colorado highways who have dyed diesel in their tanks. Dyed diesel, as per Colorado statute, is to be used only on-farm. It is cheaper than non-dyed diesel. The provision is good throughout the rest of 2026.

  1. The Colorado Department of Transportation will issue permits allowing truckers to carry more fuel on state highways, as long as vehicles comply with all safety regulations, helping to lower the cost of delivery of gas and diesel and resulting in savings that will be passed on to Coloradans.
  2. The Colorado Department of Public Safety will avoid enforcing the prohibition of dyed diesel fuel on State highways, including initiating inspections, citations, or other enforcement actions based on the presence of dyed diesel fuel, until December 31, 2026.
  3. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will submit a request to the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to waive Reformulated Gas requirements during summer 2027 to increase supply and lower the cost of gas.
