Ron Shurer's funeral will be celebrated at Nativity Church on that day. Ron, a parishioner, received the Medal of Honor in October 2018 for his heroics during Operation Enduring Freedom as a Special Forces medic who risked his life to save his entire team in the midst of intense enemy gunfire and rocket-propelled grenades.
