College of Business Administration faculty Mohammad Salehan, Sonya Zhang, Nastaran Simarasl, Hector Flores, Anthony Kim, Les Sullivan, Carlos Navarrete, Preeti Wadhwa, and Kristen Schiele are collaborating with the Faculty Center and eLearning to convert core
MBA courses into hybrid teaching. The plan is to have the courses certified by the nationally recognized
Quality Matters organization.

"Saddle Up for Semesters" Conversion Camp: Holiday Special

This 2-day guided agenda program offers short presentations about best practices plus plenty of time to work on your courses. Limited to 20 participants; please ensure that you can stay the whole day each day. Open to all faculty (however, please don’t register if you participated in a previous Semester Conversion Camp).

CoRe Proposal Deadline Extended - November 30th, 2018
|
eLearning has extended the deadline for Course Redesign (CoRe) Project proposals for significant course (re)design and multimedia projects.
Read about CoRe projects and how they lead to courses that show improved learning. Projects will be selected in December and actual work will begin in January.

Why does our Earth have seasons? Why some areas on Earth experience 24 hours of day and night by summer and winter? What causes these conditions over the course of the year? Get answers by exploring this multimedia learning activity.

1.
Avoid small text.
Avoid using very small text in your documents. Keep your fonts larger than 12 point. Also, make sure to use actual text rather than text in images. Zooming in on text inside images becomes blurry, which is bad for legibility and actual text does not require alternative text.
3.
Transparency.
Research amply demonstrates that students learn and perform better when they understand what they're supposed to learn from assignments and why certain learning activities are being used. Some fairly easy changes to your assignments can produce far better student work.
