Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost
Paraments color Green

Scripture Readings for Sunday

Remember the sabbath day. Call the sabbath a delight. This is the Lord’s day, and the Lord will do for us what the Lord does: feed us, forgive us, help and heal us. Rejoice at all the wonderful things God is doing.
Call process update

Bishop Sue Briner has referred Pastor Amanda Ullrich as a possible candidate for the Transitional Pastor for our congregation. Pastor Amanda will lead service for us on Sunday August 28 and September 4. These two Sundays Pastor Amanda will serve as a Supply Pastor rather than a Transitional Pastor. Just as any pastor who has led worship in Pastor Katies absence. Your church council will be seeking feedback from you on Pastor Amanda. Please talk with a council member after one or both services. After September 4th council will meet to discuss accepting Pastor Amanda as our Transitional Pastor. If we accept her as our Transitional Pastor we will work on the details of the process.
This Sunday worship will be led by Pastor Fred Hill.
Council will select a transition committee to oversee the process consisting of council members and congregational members. If you are asked, please prayerfully consider accepting.
Watch here for other developments in the transition process.
God's Work Our Hands If you would like to order a God's Work Our Hands t-shirt, please contact Irene Hackbarth by Sunday, August 21st. Cost is $12. We have a limited number and sizes of t-shirts in stock.
Adult education will resume on September 11th at 9 AM. Using the book 'With: Reimagining the Way You Relate to God'
Who knew that a preposition had so much influence? With explores the narrative of the Bible to show that we were created to be with God and that restoring this connection is his mission. A life lived in rich communion with God cultivates faith, hope, and love in a way that transforms both us and the broken world we inhabit. Jethani's book will challenge the way you think about God and faith, digging deep into our motivations and heart issues. In With you'll find illustrations of concepts in the book to aid understanding and recommendations for how to practice communion with God. You can't read this book and not see yourself and others differently!
Sunday School program at Hutto Lutheran will be starting soon. Register online by clicking here to go to the registration form.
