Second Sunday after Epiphany

The Sundays after Epiphany continue to celebrate the revelation of God’s glory to us as it was made known to the magi and to those on Jordan’s banks at Jesus’ baptism—today using wedding imagery. Our God rejoices over God’s people as those being married rejoice over one another. By the power of the Spirit there are gifts galore for everyone. In Christ Jesus the best wine is saved for last. Taste and see.
Grace, peace and every good be with you!

This Sunday we will be welcoming back Pastor Katie for worship only. Looking forward to seeing her again. It seems so long ago Pastor Katie was in the pulpit delivering the sermon and just couldn't continue standing, talking to us. She asked for a chair and proceeded to finish her sermon seated at the front of the church. What a pleasure to have someone who is so dedicated to doing the Lord's will. There are many times here at HLC that I will remember to the grave and this is one of those times. As I said earlier, I am jealous of Evelynn taking Pastor Katie to herself, but am thankful she and Naomi will return to sharing her with us.
Prayers to the entire family of thanks for their time with us so far and for strength and well being for the future.

Coming up - mark those calendars!
