Scripture Readings for Sunday, June 28, 2020
4 th Sunday after Pentecost

From the desk of Pastor Katie
Grace, peace and every good be with you!

VBS is off to a GREAT start! I've seen some great pics of kiddos having fun at home with their 'at home VBS' packs. Keep the prayers ascending for our young people!

This Sunday, June 28, Bishop Sue Briner will worship with us and share a Thanksgiving Moment. We are grateful for her presence with us, welcome her and look forward to hearing what she has to share.

Next Sunday, July 5, I will be on vacation. We welcome Rev. Jennifer Obermueller to lead worship and preach. In my absence, July 2-5, please contact Cathy Bryant with any emergency pastoral care needs. She will have the contact for a local pastor who will be "on-call" for any emergency needs.

I know the many changes and adaptations we have been forced to make out of concern for the COVID-19 pandemic are not total replacements for what was our normal. Council and I am regularly assessing where we are at with our health plan to return safely and how to do that.

At the June 18 Council meeting, our health plan was updated: Health Plan, revised June 2020 The changes/revisions are the number of continuous days of decline we are looking for to move through the phases. We are currently still in Phase 1. This document now also clearly states the data that is being used to determine days of decline/increase. This is the same source that has been linked on our website for many weeks.

Your congregational council will also hold Assessment Town Hall meetings twice a month for an update on the health plan/days of decline or increase as well as be available for your questions or feedback. Please watch for details regarding those meetings.

Over the last few months, I have done my best to stay in touch with as many folks as I could. I realize that this is not all folks - so, I plan to reach out in the coming weeks to check-in, say hello and chat as you'd like. Looking forward to it; I miss you all dearly.

Have a great rest of your week - see you Sunday!

Peace,
Pastor Katie
