Scripture Readings for Sunday, October 18, 2020
20th Sunday after Pentecost

From the desk of Pastor Katie
Grace, peace and every good be with you!

Audio for announcements had a tech hiccup this week. Allow me to highlight a few things:

Hutto Resource Center has challenged us to collect canned sweet potatoes/yams and cranberry sauce for their Christmas distribution. They need 500 cans of each -- We have until December 1st to see how much we can collect -- I think we can meet the challenge -- Can we do it Church??

We want to send a goodie bag to all 65 faculty/staff at our adopt-a-school, Hutto Elementary. We'd like to include a $5 gift card to Baked n' Sconed in that goodie bag. We've had a gift for 1/2 of that - if you'd like to contribute to the other half ($163) please memo a check or give online using the adopt-a-school option.

These are just a few ways we are able to still serve our community and be the Church in time of pandemic -- Thank you Church for your time, energy and commitment to being #bettertogether!

Peace be with you,
Pastor Katie

Send Gifts to Friends and contribute to F5K:Hutto Lutheran has a chance for you to purchase gifts for Christmas and also donate to HLC. The 'Gift It Forward' fund raiser from Mickman Brothers allows you to select a gift from their web site for yourself or someone else and ship it direct to the person. By entering the code 'HUTTOLTX001' in the Fundraising Code, the Feeding the 5,000 Ministry will receive $8 for each item. You can go to the Mickman Brothers Gift It Forward web site here. This organization is where we have purchased Christmas wreaths in the past, so you can order your wreath now. You can also pass this info on to your friends so they can also order and benefit the F5K.
