Greetings!

We all know that March marks the beginning of spring, but you may not be aware it's also Developmental Disability Awareness Month and Women's History Month.

This year's Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is a celebration of the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities. The National Association of the Council of Developmental Disabilities and Mercy Home seek to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of our lives. We hope to highlight the barriers that people with disabilities still face while trying to connect to the communities in which they live. Artwork created by people with disabilities will be featured throughout. Please visit our social media pages throughout the month to see a few of our favorite art pieces and stories of the people we support.

We'll also be celebrating the phenomenal women that continue to help Mercy Home thrive as well as the founders of Mercy Home and the Sisters of Mercy during this year's theme which celebrates “Visionary Women: Champions of Peace & Nonviolence.” Stay in touch.
