YEAR END CLOSING
IRS rules require us to receive all year-end contributions in the church office or be postmarked by December 31, 2019. If you would like to know the balance on your 2019 pledge, please contact Camille Haglund (Finance Director) at 409.765.6317
[email protected]
.
Please make sure your name is included as the donor on all checks that you are having sent directly from your investment or retirement account
or have them send a note with the check? You can also notify Camille that a check is being sent so that she knows to look for its arrival. Final 2019 year-end contribution statements for tax purposes will be mailed around the middle of January 2020.
If you have not signed a pledge card for 2020, please do so or email Camille at (
[email protected]
) and let her know what you intend to give in 2020. For accounting and budgeting purposes we need to have an idea of what we actually have to pay our church expenses. We are counting on each of you to help us sustain Trinity church, its staff and the teaching of Christ.

ALL ARE WELCOME!
Every Thursday, 6:30-7:00 p.m. in Upstairs Eaton Hall
(elevator available)
You are invited to come for yourself as well as bring the names of others
for whom you want prayer and for the incidents and events in our world

In union with your whole church we worship you, O God,
In songs of everlasting praise. – New Zealand Prayer Book

ADULT FORMATION - JANUARY 2020
|
|
|
During three Sunday mornings (January 5, 12, and 19) our regular adult Sunday school time will be a discussion of the Holy Trinity. We will explore Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as we have known them AND as they are portrayed in The Shack. Each Sunday morning, a brief clip from the film will help launch our conversation, especially for visitors or those who couldn’t come to see the movie on the 5
th
.
Many people have experienced profound healing in the experience of this amazing and very unusual story of death, resurrection, and God.

CHRISTINA HAYNES
Christina Haynes is entering her second year in UTMB’s physical therapy doctoral program. Proud to be born and raised in Victoria, Texas, she earned her bachelor’s degree at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and chose UTMB because its PT program is highly ranked, and because she was inspired by the city’s fine physicians, many of whom are UTMB alumni.
She believes PT gives people their lives back, allowing them do what they want to do. A physical therapist helps grandparents recover to be with their families. Faith had a role in choosing her career path: She believes God created our bodies to be able to heal ourselves, but patients need to know the tools to get better. A physical therapist must be compassionate but firm – there can be pain and stress in the exercises and stretching I guide them through, but I know I can help them if they’ll work with me.
She believes in what Jesus said: “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.”
“Serving neighbors is serving Jesus,” she said. “We’re all one big community and I want to do my part. It’s my way of serving the Christian community.”

PARKING LOT USE
Trinity is privileged to be permitted use of the fenced parking lot across the street for weekly services and, with approval, for our special events. However, by owner’s terms, cars must leave the lot soon after services, lunches, weddings and funerals or risk being locked in behind the fence. We certainly encourage use of the parking lot, but caution those planning lunch or other offsite activities to please park elsewhere after church sponsored events. Thank you for helping us to be good neighbors with the new owners.
