CALENDAR PLANNING

With Eaton Hall out of commission, it is crucial that we know the  dates and time(s)  required for all church groups and activities. We will do our best to schedule accommodations in the Kelso Library. All committee chairs or group leaders, please provide the office with meeting requests just as soon as possible. It is suggested that your plans extend through at least part of 2018.

Matthew: A 12-Week Study

By  Drew Hunter , General Editor  J. I. Packer , Series edited by  Dane C. Ortlund Lane T. Dennis

The book of Matthew paints a powerful portrait of Jesus as Israel’s long-awaited Messiah, the one who would bring God’s kingdom to earth and fulfill his promises to his people.
Leading readers through this hope-filled book, this guide explains the biblical text with clarity and passion—inviting us to encounter God’s one and only Son: Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
Over the course of 12 weeks, these studies explore books of the Bible and:

  • Ask thoughtful questions to spur discussion
  • Show how each passage unveils the gospel
  • Tie the text in with the whole story of Scripture
  • Illuminate the doctrines taught in each passage
  • Invite you to discover practical implications
  • Help you better understand and apply God’s Word

Part of the  Knowing the Bible  series.

Contact Danielle Alvarado at:  dalvarado@trintygalv.org  to join the group.

WILLIAM TEMPLE EPISCOPAL CENTER
Still Feeding and Serving 100 Students per Week

Our Wednesday night cook team has done a great job while Mike Ellis is on the mend. Theresa Reeves has really stepped up to the plate and spearheaded meal preparation most weeks and Ollive Shepherd has typed the recipes and put them in a notebook for easy reference to whomever the cooks may be. Buddy and Linda Fredrickson gifted us with 3 restaurant style drink dispensers that make us look professional.

Again, thank you to our Willie T’s Team for their commitment: Erik Dill, Buddy and Linda Fredrickson, David Hughes, Bill Kennard, Ollive Shepherd, and new volunteer JaLene Thatcher Khambu and her family.

Episcopal Relief & Development works closely with church partners after disasters, equipping them to meet needs of those most vulnerable in their communities. Currently, our staff is responding to areas devastated by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, and watching developing tropical storms. Because of our strong diocesan partnerships, Episcopal Relief & Development is ready to assist in the recovery of the impacted areas for as long as necessary. You can help provide critical relief to affected communities by donating to our Hurricane Relief Fund. To donate and read the latest updates, visit   episcopalrelief.org/irma

PARKING LOT USE

Trinity is privileged to be permitted use of the  fenced parking lot across the street for weekly services and, with approval, for our special events. However, by owner’s terms, cars must leave the lot soon after services, lunches, weddings and funerals or risk being locked in behind the fence. We  certainly encourage use of the parking lot, but caution those planning lunch or other offsite  activities to please park elsewhere after church sponsored events. Thank you for helping us to  be good neighbors with the new owners.
