Dear Trinity Episcopal Church,
This Sunday is our Annual Parish Meeting! I know that doesn't sound like the most exciting way to spend a Sunday morning, but I do hope that you can be there. We can take this opportunity, as a parish family, to reflect on all that happened in 2022 and to look ahead for 2023.
One of the highlights for 2023 will be our Lenten program shared with Grace and Saint Augustine of Hippo Episcopal churches. The title of the program is, "Revelation: The World According to God." On the Wednesdays evenings in March, we'll be exploring the book of Revelation in the Bible and reflecting on illuminations from The Saint John's Bible. I know that Revelation is often derided, but I hope that we are rather encouraged by this book of the Bible.
As part of our Lenten program, we will be raising money for a cemetery marker for the Rev. Thomas Cain and his wife, Betty. Mr. Cain was the rector of Saint Augustine of Hippo Episcopal Church in 1900, and both he and his wife lost their lives in the Great Storm. This will be one way to honor our past and to anticipate the resurrection of all the saints so beautifully described in Revelation.
With peace,
Jimmy

Women's Spring Bible Study
Mondays 5:30-7:15 p.m. - Kelso Conference Room
Beginning Monday, January 23rd
Join us this spring, starting January 23rd, Mondays 5:30-7:15pm, Kelso Conference Room. “Ruth - Loss, Love & Legacy" is a Women's 7 session study, by Kelly Minter (video & discussion based). We will learn of “Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy. This study delves into the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her mother-in-law Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz. If you've ever felt devastated, struggled as a stranger, longed to be loved, or wept along the way, you'll find a loyal sister in Ruth.” Please let us know if you are interested in attending, and we will save you a spot and your home workbook. Blessings!
