Dear Trinity Episcopal Church,
As incoming Senior Warden, I was asked to share some things about myself. I am wife to Jim and mother to Annie, Jack and Ellie. I am blessed with a son-in law, Mark and 4 grandchildren. Our roots with Trinity began in 1983 after graduation from Baylor. We moved to Austin and returned in 2011.
I‘ve had the privilege of teaching at Trinity School, owning a private counseling practice, and am currently employed at UTMB as a Women’s Counselor.
At Trinity Church, I’ve served as Usher, member of the Daughters of the King, former member of Trinity School Board, and Chair for our Search Committee during which God led us to Jimmy Abbott.
Philippians 4:13 states “I can do all things through him who gives me strength”. I’d like to notice all the “things” I see at Trinity happening through his strength.
I see Jimmy’s focus on “People, Programs, and Buildings” coming to life. I see new families and a growing children’s department. I see a stronger relationship with our school and a talented incoming Headmaster. I see Wednesday night Bible study, stronger connections to other Episcopal programs in Galveston, and deeper investments of time and talents made by parishioners. I see an active Vestry working to preserve our historic sanctuary.
Stated plainly, I see enthusiasm, investment and hope.
With peace,
Sally Byrom, Senior Warden

Women's Spring Bible Study
Mondays 5:30-7:15 p.m. - Kelso Conference Room
Beginning Monday, January 23rd
Join us this spring, starting January 23rd, Mondays 5:30-7:15pm, Kelso Conference Room. “Ruth - Loss, Love & Legacy" is a Women's 7 session study, by Kelly Minter (video & discussion based). We will learn of “Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy. This study delves into the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her mother-in-law Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz. If you've ever felt devastated, struggled as a stranger, longed to be loved, or wept along the way, you'll find a loyal sister in Ruth.” Please let us know if you are interested in attending, and we will save you a spot and your home workbook. Blessings!
