LOOK CLOSELY - A SMALL ART EXHIBITION
Our SMALL ART EXHIBITION has been a long time in the making...we have so many miniature treasures in our Olympia Collection, and from time to time we see some remarkable small scale works come through the Gallery...we kept saying "We need to have an exhibition of Miniatures!"
And so we began to go through the work - acrylics, watercolours, oils, mixed media, digital prints...even small mosaics. Themes were wide and varied including portraiture, landscapes, flowers and abstracts. We selected an an array of artwork by both established and emerging artists. We framed and hung some, while others we presented for viewing in our portfolio.
We love how the Exhibition looks, and can't wait for you to come by and see it!
The Exhibition opened on May 4 in the OMG Gallery and will run until May 31.
Here are some highlights of the work on show:

Red takes centre stage in our art box in the OMG Gallery. We chose to showcase works by two of our contemporary artists, Stanford Watson and Omari Ra (African). Top row: Untitled I, II, III & VI, Mixed Media/Collage by Stanford Watson (each 5x3ins, mounted and framed); Bottom row: Europe I, II, and III, Mixed Media/Collage by Omari Ra (each 11.5x8ins, mounted and framed).
A delightful collection of three rare crayon drawings on card by Allan Zion, (1989): Top: Half Way Tree Courthouse (10x12.5ins); House Set (8.5x10ins);
and Flower Pots (10x12.5ins)

These miniature mosaics, Tesserae I & II (10x10ins) by Claudia Porges-Beyer are stunning. The detail of the work is captivating. We particularly like Tomatoes (11x8.5ins), set against the striking penmanship of her late father, the piece is creatively framed in a deep shadow box. An intriguing collectible!
This is an engaging portrait and the bamboo frame works beautifully. Untitled, Acrylic on canvas by FR, (10x8ins). Other portraiture includes paintings by Karl 'Jerry' Craig and Dave Hutchinson.
Two serene scenics, acrylic on canvas, by Noel Whittingham.. We have a wide selection of landscapes, seascapes, country houses, market and rural scenes by artists including Patrick Waldemar, Nyla D'Andrea, Errol Walker, Webster Campbell, Natasha Pasmore and Doreen Muir.
Other artists on show include Christopher Gonzalez, Albert Huie, Garfield Morgan, Judith Salmon, Anna Maria Hendricks, Ayanna Dixon, Dianne V. Douglas, El Pedio Robinson, Kevarney K.R., Maxine Gibson, Marcia Biggs, Mazola and Pat Lee. Click HERE to view our eCatalogue on our website.
