August: Mental Health Resources for Legal Professionals

It’s essential to remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. As legal professionals, the demands of the job can often feel overwhelming, but help is available. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or simply the everyday stress of the profession, seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out. A strong leader asks for help and does not suffer in silence. Together we are stronger as New Mexican lawyers.

Professional Development Program (PDP)

In addition to other resources, the Professional Development Program has developed and posted to the State Bar website various checklists, forms, articles and links to relevant resources to allow lawyers to follow best practices when engaged in succession planning, closing files, managing trust accounts, appearing before a tribunal in a virtual setting and starting a small law firm. You can find them at the Professional Development Program tab on the State Bar of New Mexico’s website.
