Judicial Wellness Program (NMJWP)

Happiness in the work: How do we find it? Sometimes, it is as easy as reminding ourselves of why we were called to become lawyers in the first place. Re-examining the original passion we had for the work and reminding ourselves of the values we hold that fulfill us in this career can be fertile ground for re-committing to the job we do for our clients.

If you are an attorney or judge who is struggling with overwhelm and/or burnout, asking yourself "What brings me joy in this work?" "How can I find the passion I had when I started?" can open up some space to reframe your work. Also, reach out to the JWELL or LAP programs with the State Bar of New Mexico if you need additional support. We have coaches, counselors, newsletters and more to help support you!

News & Announcements

The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a nationwide, nonpartisan project that connects election administrators who have been harassed, intimidated, and targeted due to their election duties with attorneys who can give legal guidance and, where appropriate, representation. Interested attorneys can review the EOLDN FAQ and watch a 15-minute orientation video here. They can then join the network by completing our participation form. Questions are welcome at outreach@eoldn.org. Election law experience is not necessary.
