2025 Pro Bono Challenge Heads into Final Month

May is the last month to earn points for the Section Pro Bono Challenge, and State Bar of Nevada licensees can volunteer in May and complete their service anytime in 2025 to be counted toward the challenge. Points are counted as a percentage of section membership, so every section has a fair chance to end up on top.

April saw the Bankruptcy Law section move to third, edging out the Elder Law section. The Solo and Small Practice section moved above Public Lawyers to end up in the top five. Now in the lead are LGBTQ+ and Family Law. See the leaderboard.

There are three ways to earn points:

Participants can volunteer online and select their preferred legal service provider or reach out directly. Volunteering builds skills, earns CLEs, and feels great. Top volunteers will be recognized at the annual bar conference in June and at a luncheon with the Nevada Supreme Court and Nevada Court of Appeals this fall.

The 2025 challenge ends May 31 – this is the final month to join!

This Week at the State Bar

The State Bar of Nevada is introducing the Practice Management Resource Network! The network highlights products and services designed to help Nevada lawyers manage their firms efficiently and effectively. The tools range from accounting and payroll services to digital marketing and website development, and more to help attorneys to streamline their firm’s operations.

The state bar helps you get the CLE you need, at a time convenient for you. In addition to live seminars and webinars, our online CLE store provides pre-recorded seminars on demand, as well as Nevada Lawyer magazine articles for CLE credit. Search our store today!

Did you know you can easily make changes to all your contact information via the state bar’s attorney portal? You can designate which address to send bar communications. The same site allows attorneys to designate whether their email address is available to the public.
