Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. I am extremely grateful for a church that sows generously!

The community that we have is so considerate with their time, talents, and giving. Reflecting on the past year, children’s ministry has been able to accomplish so many things because of YOU! Several of you helped stuff close to 1,000 Easter eggs for Easter Eggstravaganza. For VBS we had 75 volunteers (including youth helpers) and had the majority of supplies that were needed donated by members. Because of you we had kids able to go to summer camp who might not have otherwise been able to go. You helped us surpass our goal of 100 bags of candy for Trunk or Treat and allowed us to have 25 beautifully decorated trunks for kids to see. Also, for Thanksgiving we all partnered together to donate food for the families at Reaves Elementary to ensure that they had a Thanksgiving meal and toys for the kids at Sam Houston Elementary for Christmas. I know there are countless other examples of how giving in time and resources has impacted our church and community and I am consistently overwhelmed by the generosity of this church! It is because of your commitment that each ministry here is able to then pour into others and share the love of Jesus. Thank you, Church, for trusting us with your generosity and for being a church that invests in others!

We have a couple of special events coming up in Children’s Ministry.

On Monday, January 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., 4th and 5th graders are invited to a fun outing at Main Event! They will have the option of participating in games, laser tag, or bowling. This will be a fun way for kids to get to know those that they see every Sunday on a deeper level and have fun together! To sign up for this event click here.

Then on February 4th at the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, 3rd Graders will be participating in the 3rd Grade Bible Presentation. This is such a special time for 3rd graders to receive their very own Bible as a gift from the church and for the congregation to bless them as they continue along their spiritual journey. If you have a 3rd grader that would like to participate, click here to sign up.

Also in February is the launching of The Woodlands Hills Community Church! There is still a need for small group leaders on The Woodlands Hills Campus in nursery and elementary for the 9:30 a.m. service, as well as a few spots on FMC’s campus. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about these opportunities to serve our kids, there will be a Children’s Ministry Informational Meeting on January 21st at 12:15 p.m. in the Asbury Room. Childcare will be provided. To sign up click here.

Additionally, Children's Ministry will be switching curriculum to Wonder Ink beginning in February on both campuses. Wonder Ink sparks curiosity and wonder as it takes kids on a journey of faith formation. Rooted in Biblical truth, the lessons are enriched with four core values: God knows me, Jesus loves me, the Holy Spirit leads me, and I am a child of God. Families are invited to join us on February 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for a Wonderfilled Family Game Night where we will explain the core truths of Wonder Ink in an engaging way. To sign up click here.

Thank you again, Church, for all that you do to sow generously so that we can also reap generously and continue to spread the good news of Jesus to others.
