The New Mexico Lawyer Assistance Program

Monday Night Support Group Important Announcement:

There will not be a Monday Night Attorney Support Group Meeting on 12/25 due to the holiday. There WILL be a meeting on Monday, Jan. 1. Start the New Year off on a good note: the next Monday Night Attorney Support Group Meeting will be on Jan. 1 at 5:30 p.m. (MT) The intention of this support group is the sharing of anything you are feeling, trying to manage, or struggling with. It is intended as a way to connect with colleagues, to know you are not in this alone, and feel a sense of belonging. We laugh, we cry, we BE together. Zoom link: https://bit.ly/attorneysupportgroup

Try these six tips to stay fit during the holidays:

  1. Move, Move, Move. Staying active and moving around is going to be key because it burns calories.
  2. Keep a (Nearly) Normal Routine.
  3. Be Realistic.
  4. Drink Plenty of Water.
  5. Prioritize Sleep.
  6. Limit TV Time and Partner Up.

Update/Manage Your Calendar

This may seem a bit simplistic, but the power in really having command of your calendar helps us feel more in control and relaxed about the upcoming day or week because we know what to expect. Also, finding out where the spaces exist for you to have time for your own wellness (i.e., exercise, leisure, family or friend time) can help you make the time for things other than work. By doing that, we may find that we are more relaxed and supported to fully engage in our work. Our productivity can be increased with just this small shift of finding balance.

Try it and let us know how it worked! Reach out with any comments to Sandra.engel@sbnm.org.
