2026 Pledge Campaign Update

After our pledge in-gathering on November 2, 2025, we have received 36 pledges totaling $148,740 towards our goal of $210k. Unfortunately, we lost 5 pledging members from the parish in the past year. They represented over $20k of giving to the church. The attached pledge trend chart shows the downward pledge trend over the past several years. We hope to receive an additional 34 pledges totaling $64k by the end of the year. Each year, we ask parishioners to fill out a new pledge card or electronic pledge on the website. If you have already submitted your pledge online, we thank you! You should have received an email confirmation from Ruth Bruner who records the pledges. If you have not, then please contact Ruth or the office to confirm the receipt of your e-pledge. We are experiencing some intermittent problems with our online pledging and donation system. Please email Ruth Bruner at RuthBruner@comcast.net to make a confidential pledge or fill out a pledge form from the office.

Communication Guidelines for Announcements and eNews Publication

As we enter into fall and things start to get busier at St. Barnabas, here is a reminder of how to best communicate your events to us so that we might better communicate them to the parish. We will need the following information from you:

  • Date of event and start/stop times
  • Dates that you want the event to be publicized
  • Name of contact person and best phone/email for contact
  • Text of announcement. A few sentences are easier for people to remember, and easier to fit into the bulletin, so try to keep the info short and to the point.
  • To guarantee inclusion in the bulletin on a given Sunday, announcements should be submitted No Later Than the Monday before the announcement should appear in the bulletin (6 days before publication).
  • For publication in eNews, please email the information to beth.a.engler@gmail.com by Wednesday 9 p.m.
  • For publication in eNews, announcements/articles will be edited as needed and graphics may be added.

Prayer Requests

  • Submit prayer requests to the Office by 9 p.m. on Tuesdays for inclusion in Sunday's bulletin
  • Prayer requests will remain in the bulletin for one month
  • Prayer and Praise Chain offers the opportunity for parishioners to pray four the needs of our parish family
  • Contact Leslie Walker to submit a name to the Prayer and Praise chain
