Two Hour Workshop

In a workshop presented by the MIM, Children’s Music Network pre-conference participants will learn how to engage young people in culturally themed musical play. Expand your repertoire and learn new tools to facilitate music making and learning. Activities support childhood language acquisition and physical, academic, and cognitive growth. Participants will receive a set of developmentally appropriate lesson plans inspired by MIM’s collection and a certificate for tracking professional development hours. Pre-conference attendees will also be able to tour MIM before and after the workshop.
Visit the Galleries

MIM displays more than 6,800 instruments collected from around 200 of the world’s countries and territories. Most displays are enhanced by state-of-the-art audio and video technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played in their original contexts—performances that are often as spectacular as the instruments themselves. What’s more, all guests are invited to play instruments from around the world in the Experience Gallery.

  • When responding to a message received ih the Digest format, make sure to copy/paste the original subject into your Subject line.
