Parent Commitment Cycle 5
Every six weeks, the HISD allows families to change their learning preference for the upcoming grading cycle. If you plan to stay with your current learning setting, then you do NOT need to do anything else at this time.
If you would like to change your learning setting for Cycle 5 (March 22 - April 30), then please complete this short form: https://bit.ly/Cycle3Learning. We appreciate your attentiveness to this task as it enables us to plan for the successful return of any students to campus.
Again, the decision you made for Cycle 4 remains in place for this school year unless you communicate to us a change in your learning preference. The window to communicate any change for Cycle 5 opens next week and runs from March 1 - 5.

NHS Tutoring
The Bellaire Chapter of the National Honor Society announces, “Tutes for Studes,” an on-line tutorial service available for ALL Bellaire students (9th to 12th grade) needing assistance in math, English, social studies, foreign languages, and the sciences. Our tutors are NHS members who have already taken the course, whether it’s an IB/AP course or is a course in another curriculum and did well in it. Here is how you access the service:
2. Click on “Students” at the top of the home page.
3. Fill in the tutoring request form. You must give NHS 24-hour notice so that we can arrange for a tutoring session.
4. You will be paired with an NHS tutor, who will notify you of the time and date for the tutoring session. A full session lasts 30 minutes and takes place during Cardinal Hour. No tutoring is done before or after school or on weekends.
5. All tutoring sessions will be recorded.

Financial Aid
Although it is passed the January 15th deadline, it is still not too late to apply for any extra funding. Consider applying for the FAFSA for federal aid. If your student is undocumented, then the TASFA is the best option for Texas state funds for Texas colleges. If you have applied and need to clear verification, we’re here to help with that, as well. For assistance with this and other financial aid questions, join us for open financial aid advising on Financial Aid Friday from 12:20 to 1:30.
