Celebration Sunday, November 2

Because of you, we give thanks! Together, we celebrate the blessings of this season, dedicate our pledges, and give thanks for all that God has done through us. Because of you, the Kingdom grows. Because of you, lives are changed. Because of you, God's church is alive with hope. On Sunday, we celebrate all that God has done and dedicate our gifts with gratitude and joy. Join us for worship and celebration! Bring your gratitude, your joy, and your pledge as we give glory to God.

Don't forget to change your clocks!

On Sunday, we "fall back" an hour! We are also experiencing intermittent outages on our website. We are working to fix the issue and apologize for any inconvenience.

Lady Julian Bible Study

The Lady Julians meet weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. and are starting a new series on October 15. This series will explore the book of Revelation. Revelation is a wild and wooly text full of visions and beasts and dragons and fire and fear. But at its core, Revelation is a book of promise and hope. Join us in conversation about how the last book of the Bible might offer a beginning for us as people of faith.

Interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church or being Confirmed?

Bishop Brown will be visiting St. Barnabas on Sunday, December 7, 2025 for 10:00 a.m. Worship. There will be no 8:00 a.m. Worship on that day. If you are interested in being confirmed or learning more about the Episcopal Church, please email Rev. Jeanie (Rev.Jeanie@StB-DE.org.)

SAVE THE DATE  please  FOR JEWELRY

Please mark November 15 on your calendar and save that Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. Now that the bazaar approaches, we'll hang the jewelry on the boards for display. NO experience necessary and NOTHING but compliments will greet your board. We will work in the lounge.

Please come to help, even for an hour or two if you have Other Events competing for your time. You'll have a little fun, a little work and lunch will be provided. I think something warm might be needed, and of course I think of pizza, but if you have other [i.e., healthier] ideas, contact me, Linda Hardy 302 235 8612.

Thank you to all of you who donated, who came to price items and thank you for the coming November 15 get-together.

Libby, Patti, and Linda

2025 Christmas Bazaar News!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Once again, we will be having our annual Christmas bazaar! This year we will have White Elephant Sales, Used Books (including games and puzzles,) Jewelry, Hand Crafts, Basket Raffle, Baked Goods, Cookie Boxes, Face Painting, welcome table, and Santa! A delicious lunch of soup, chili and assorted sandwiches will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

All proceeds from the Christmas Bazaar support our outreach programs!

First and foremost, we need someone to chair the bazaar. Although it practically runs itself, it would be very helpful to have someone who is organized who can oversee the event.

Please start collecting your better “white elephants!” (Sorry there is NO ROOM for storage here at church.)

Consider volunteering a couple of hours of your time to this worthwhile fundraiser that benefits our local ministries!

Plan to come and shop and stay for lunch! Bring a friend!

Thanks,

Libby Green

2026 Stewardship and Pledge Season

“You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others, that they may see your

good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14–16

Because of You…Faith Lives On

This week, Because of You, Faith Lives On. What we build today will bless tomorrow.

We give thanks for the legacy of faith entrusted to us and consider how we will pass it

on to the next generation. Because of you, the next generation inherits a strong

foundation of faith. We are building not just for today, but for tomorrow leaving a legacy

of love and witness.

Think about the legacy you want to leave. Write one prayer for the next generation of

our church family.

Because of You…Generosity Sustains

This week’s message is about generosity. Because of You, Generosity Sustains. Every

gift tells a story of gratitude. Generosity is not an obligation, but a blessing that sustains

God’s work among us. Because of you, hope is planted and sustained. Every gift

blesses, provides, and shares God’s love. Generosity makes the Kingdom visible here

and now.

Think about what “cheerful giving” means to you. Share one way you’ve seen

generosity bless someone else.

Because of You…We Build the Kingdom

This week’s message – Because of You, We Build the Kingdom. God’s Kingdom grows when we seek it first, together. We lift our eyes to the vision before us and commit ourselves to building with joy and faith. Because of you, we can dream boldly and build faithfully. The Kingdom grows not just in numbers, but in love, grace, and impact. This is our moment to commit and pledge with joy.

Please submit your pledge today. Every gift matters. Every heart builds the Kingdom.

Because of You…Faith Becomes Action

Faith is more than words—it is the way we live and serve in Christ’s name. Stewardship

calls us to put love into action. Because of you, faith is not just believed—it is lived. Your

pledge fuels ministries that feed, teach, heal, and welcome. Together, faith becomes

action, and action becomes transformation.

This week think about where your time and talents could serve this season. Sign up to volunteer or join a ministry team.

Because of You…We Are Present

Because of You, We Are Present. Because of you, the body of Christ is alive. Stewardship is more than giving—it is showing up. Your presence in worship, service, and prayer makes the church whole. Every heart, every hand, every voice strengthens our community. As we continue, we remember that God’s church is not complete without each of us. Presence is a gift—when we gather, we reflect Christ’s love in its fullest expression.

We invite you to reach out to someone you haven’t seen in church lately. Let them know they’re missed.

Because of You…We Rebuild

We begin our pledge season journey with the reminder that God’s Kingdom is built not in a single moment, but in faithful steps taken together. This first step calls us to rebuild—hearts, ministries, and community life—trusting that God is still at work among us. Because of you, our church rises to rebuild. After seasons of distance and quiet, God is calling us to restore—not just buildings, but relationships, ministries, and mission. This is a holy moment to renew what makes our church a place of belonging and purpose.

We invite you to think about what “rebuilding” means for you. Who might you invite back?
